We are getting close to something we’ve been building towards: the MOTRA beta.

This beta is important because it’s the first time we’re putting Effort Points into the real world. Not as a concept. Not as a whitepaper idea. As something you can actually use.

The goal of the beta is simple. Get the app into real users’ hands. Log real workouts. Prove that measuring effort changes how training feels.

What the beta will include

You’ll be able to connect MOTRA to your existing fitness setup.

If you’re on Apple Watch, we recommend connecting via Apple Health.

If you’re using anything else, Garmin, Coros, Wahoo, etc., we recommend Strava.

Once connected, your workouts will sync automatically.

Runs, rides, walks, and other supported activities will be logged. You’ll be able to review your sessions, look back over your data, and see a clear breakdown of how hard you actually worked.

And most importantly, you’ll earn Effort Points.

Effort Points are calculated using heart rate data. This is the core idea behind MOTRA, and the beta is where that idea starts being tested properly.

The beta will include our heart rate modelling algorithm, which analyses your workout data to calculate your max heart rate and set personalised heart rate zones automatically, so Effort Points are based on your physiology, not generic defaults. It also means no cheating and no manual ovveride. In internal testing our algorithm was able to calculate an acurate max heart rate in as little as 10 workouts.

What the beta will not include

There will be no MOTRA token during the beta.

That part comes later.

Right now, this is about building a solid fitness product. Something that stands on its own. Something that proves there is real value in tracking effort.

We want people using the app because it makes training feel more honest. More motivating. More rewarding, even without anything financial attached to it yet.

Why we’re doing it this way

We don’t want to rush the token before the foundation is right.

If Effort Points don’t work, nothing else matters.

If the data isn’t useful, the rest doesn’t matter.

If the app isn’t genuinely helpful, the token won’t save it.

The beta is about pressure-testing the core idea with real users and real training. Seeing how people use it. Seeing what breaks. Seeing what needs refining.

If you care about training, consistency, and putting real work in, this beta is for you.
