Weekly Dev Update - Upgraded Run Stats

This week me and Martin went to check out a run club. It was great, loads of ideas came out of it for how we could co-host or sponsor our own events. We saw first-hand what works (and what doesn’t). Now we’re much more confident that run clubs could be a strong move for MOTRA, both for testing prototypes and for marketing.

On the app side, we’ve added a ton of new stats and visuals to the run summary screen. We want MOTRA to become the best and easiest one stop fitness app, so now, upon completed a run you’ll see:

  • Distance

  • Time

  • Average pace

  • Elevation gain and descent

  • Average heart rate

  • Peak heart rate zone

  • Calories

  • Effort Points (EP) earned

We’ve also added charts for time in each heart rate zone, a line graph showing heart rate and pace across the session, and even a map overlay of your running route.

Honestly, I’ve now switched over to using MOTRA as my main post run review tool. It’s got everything I actually need, without the usual clutter. Different activitiy types will all display different stats / graphs, the cycling and walking screens will be built out next, with more to follow.
