MOTRA Is Now Live on the App Store
Jan 17, 2026
MOTRA is officially live.
After months of building, testing, and refining, the app is now available to download on the App Store. This is the first public version of MOTRA that anyone can use.
This launch is the beta.
That’s important to be clear about. What’s live today is the foundation. The core system that measures effort using heart rate data and turns it into something meaningful. From here, we build.
What “beta” actually means for MOTRA
The beta is not a soft launch followed by silence. It’s the opposite.
You should expect frequent updates, sometimes weekly, sometimes faster. New features, refinements, performance improvements, and tweaks based directly on how people are using the app in the real world.
This is the phase where we:
Watch how Effort Points behave across different users and training styles
Stress-test the heart rate modelling and zone calibration
Learn what’s useful, what’s confusing, and what needs tightening up
Ship improvements continuously instead of waiting for big, slow releases
If you download MOTRA now, you’re not just using the app. You’re shaping it.
Why download it now
If you care about training properly, not just logging miles or chasing badges, this is where MOTRA starts to make sense.
The app connects to your existing setup via Apple Health or Strava. Your workouts sync automatically. Sessions are analysed using heart rate data, not pace or distance alone. Effort Points are earned based on how hard you actually worked.
Every session counts. Easy days. Hard days. Long slogs. Short efforts.
There’s no token yet. No marketplace. No financial layer switched on.
That comes later.
Right now, the value is in seeing your training differently. In being rewarded for consistency and intensity, not just speed or genetics.
What’s coming next
This beta will evolve quickly. Over the coming weeks and months, you’ll see:
Deeper breakdowns of effort and trends
Improved insights
Social and competitive layers starting to form
The early groundwork for rewards and ecosystem features
We’re building this in public, with users involved at every step.
Get involved
Download the app. Use it. Train with it. Break it. Tell us what works and what doesn’t.
If you’ve ever felt that most fitness apps miss the point, that they track motion but ignore effort, this is for you.
This is the start of MOTRA.
Stay tuned. Updates are coming fast.
