Weekly Dev Update - Version 1.3

Feb 4, 2026

Motra weekly dev update feb 2026

This week, version 1.3 officially went live.

This update was a big one for us. A lot of the work went into this one.

What shipped in 1.3:

-A completely redesigned Personal Records screen, now centred around Effort Points and overall effort.

  • Map previews on the home screen, showing your most recent run, ride, or walk directly on the last workout card.

  • Satellite map style, giving a clearer and more detailed view of routes.

  • Time-based workout titles that automatically label sessions as Morning, Afternoon, Evening, or Night.

  • The MOTRA logo added to the Apple Watch app.

  • Enhanced split data for runs and rides, including effort per km or mile for better performance analysis.

  • A fully redesigned onboarding experience, built to be clearer, more helpful, and less overwhelming for new users.

As soon as 1.3 went live, we immediately began work on version 1.4.

It’s also worth calling out that 1.3 shipped with a bug that affected Apple HealthKit syncing for some users, preventing workouts from importing correctly. Thanks to those who flagged it quickly. Once reports came in, we were able to identify the issue and ship a fix within 24 hours.

We’re genuinely grateful for the feedback. It helps us move faster and build a better product.

As always, let us know what you’d like to see in version 1.4 or future releases. Feature ideas, performance issues, or small annoyances.

More soon.
