Weekly Dev Update - Social Features
Mar 11, 2026

This week we shipped two updates, versions 1.7 and 1.8, bringing one of the most requested features into MOTRA.
Social leaderboards are now live. You can add friends and compare Effort Points across This Week, This Month, and All Time. It’s a simple feature, but it changes the feel of the app immediately (suddenly every run or workout has a bit more meaning when you know your friends are on the board).
Alongside that, we pushed a range of improvements across the app. The Activities screen received a cleaner layout with better sorting and filtering, and we made a number of readability tweaks to make everyday navigation clearer. Security was also strengthened as we prepare the foundations for bringing the MOT token into the app.
Version 1.8 focused mainly on stability. We fixed a number of Strava sync issues, including cases where heart rate charts weren’t showing for certain activity types, and resolved a bug that occasionally stopped social leaderboards from updating properly.
Work has now started on version 2.0 (the release that will take MOTRA out of beta). Still early days there, but more to share soon.
Thanks again for all the feedback on the beta so far. Keep it coming.
