Weekly Dev Update - 1.3 Is Coming
Jan 28, 2026

This week, both Martin and I have been focused almost entirely on onboarding.
We weren’t happy with where it was. There were bugs, rough edges, and overall it felt bland. More importantly, it cheapened the experience of the app at the exact moment new users should be getting excited. It felt like a logical first place to really pour our time into.
Over the past week we’ve been overhauling the onboarding flow end-to-end. The goal has been simple: make it clearer, smoother, and worthy of the rest of the product. These changes are now coming together and we’re aiming to ship them very soon as version 1.3.
Alongside the onboarding work, 1.3 also includes a few smaller but meaningful improvements.
We’ve switched the map style to satellite view, which gives workouts far more context and visual depth. Maps will now also appear directly on the last workout card on the home screen when a session includes a route, making that first glance at your recent effort much more informative.
We’ve also significantly improved the Strava connection flow. Previously, users were bounced out to the Strava website to log in. We now have one-click Strava connection, if the Strava app is already installed, we now pull details directly from there and simply ask for approval.
As always, a huge thank you to everyone who’s been sending feedback. A lot of what we’re improving is a direct result of people taking the time to tell us what feels off. Please keep it coming. It genuinely shapes where the app goes next.
More updates soon.
